Freightliner may build tough trucks, but it’s the operators putting in long hours on job sites, city streets and in our communities who get the job done. However, you don’t have to wear a hard hat to contribute to the positive changes in North America’s Hardest Working Cities.

Small business owners improve the local economy, city officials propose and approve big projects that stimulate job creation and growth, and everyone clocking in for their nine-to-fives keeps their cities alive and humming. It’s a team effort, and we want to get down and dirty to find out what motivates each and every one of them to rise and grind.

Behind the Hard Hat will feature stories from the people we meet on our Hardest Working Cities tour. Check back often to uncover new stories and find out why hard work matters.
