“My grandfather is a construction worker. He would get a new pair of shoes and, after two months, his soles would be worn out. My uncle is a Navy SEAL and has been serving our country since he was 19. My other uncle has worked every job I can imagine, and has never complained about it. My father is a bartender and he would mainly sleep during the day because he would be up all night. And my mother has given me everything she could give me. She grew up in a poorer part of town and didn’t have any money as a child. She started working when she was 14 years old and had to lie about her age just to get a job, and she just didn’t ever want her kids to live like that. So my big reason for working hard is to be able to support her.”
