HARDEST WORKING CITY

New York City

NEW YORK CITY (April 26, 2016) — Last week, we celebrated our first Hardest Working City of the year, New York City. With more than 20 million residents, this industrious city is the hub of the largest metropolitan area in the nation, so we were eager to honor its hard workers.

After an exhaustive review of more than 400 metropolitan census areas, NYC was honored for being the #1 leader in North America for construction employment, contribution to gross domestic product, and in number of transportation establishments. The city is also among the top 3 in North America for manufacturing employment, which accounts for hundreds of thousands of jobs in the area.

We began our celebration with surprise visits to two Big Reuse facilities in Queens and Brooklyn and then headed to Citi Field stadium to host the Greater New York Hardest Working Cities award presentation.

Sponsored by these New York Metro Freightliner dealerships:
Diehl's Truck World (NY Freightliner)
Campbell Freightliner
Hoover Truck Centers
